ABOUT THIS SITE

What's going on? (February 2008)

The first version of this website ran from February 2001 to January 2007 when updating stopped so that I could concentrate on a new website, devoted to the history of classic trials, which finally went live in April 2007 at www.wheelspin.info.

Now that the new site is up-and-running I've decided to return to this site and tidy it up. I've parked the "www.wheelspin.org.uk" domain name, so this is no longer active. The Photo Gallery has gone as it was always time-consuming to maintain and there are now so many other, much better, photo galleries available elsewhere on the internet.

My intention is to concentrate on non-topical, Marlin-related, information. There's guidance on Getting Started in trials with a Marlin, and the Technical Topics pages are retained as I know that they were still being read months after maintenance on the remainder of the site had stopped. The Events/Reports/Results pages have been simplified, to minimise duplication with information available elsewhere on the internet, and there are likely to be fewer individual trials reports than in the past. I've also made some minor tweaks to the page styling, to reflect the revised structure of the site, although I'm still working my way through all the remaining pages bringing them up-to-date.
